Urban Dictionary Definition

LMAO! Ever go to Urban Dictionary and looked up the definition of your name? If you have, sweet. If not, do it. Chances are you'll find 20 definitions and you'll likely match 12 of them. Also,10 out of the 12 definitions will boost your ego.  So I took the liberty of looking up 'redhead'. There were good and bad definitions. I figured I'd share both.

1. An exotic woman with a fiery temper. One of the most beautiful creatures on Earth, too bad there are so little of them. Rumored to have a three times as powerful sex drive as normal women (rumored by the Germans)

2. Adj. an extreamly hot (girl) who just cant help being so sexy

3.The coolest people alive... and hottest. Redheads have got to have the best personality ever... and they don't take other peoples shit... not to mention they are beautiful and gorgeous!!!... what more could you want?!

4. A women usually classified to have hair inbetween blonde and auburn. There are very little who have it, and are usually never appreciated for the gorgeous hair. Blondes and brunettes are everywhere, but redheads are simply unique. Usually only truly loved if the opposite person is fun, others can't understand the beauty of a redhead.

5. A girl or woman who usually has a quick temper (assosciated with aries). redheads are loud, bold. brave. tempermental, and muy muy muy muy muy caliente. when the word "redhead" pops into ur mind, think woman with amazing eyes and even sexier hair. being a redhead is THE BEST cuz our only sterotype is having a bad temper which we dont give a shit about cuz its our nature.

6. A person with red hair. Known to have short-tempers, high sex drive, they dont take other peoples crap, and are wild and crazy in bed. Only 1% to 2% in the whole world has red hair. They are exotic and very sexy

7.some of the bitchyest girls you'll ever meet in your life. some are nice and the other half are bitches who think their shit doesn't stink.the other half are nice when they aren't being a bitch.

8. A genetic disposition towards hair of a reddish color. In males predominantly associated with social awkwardness, and lack of success with women. In women we find that most redheads are in fact she-devils, manipulaters, and soul strippers capable of robbing a man of his testicles in exchange for mediocre sex. Not to be trifled with as the more women with red hair you become involved with, the more susceptible you become to being a big freakin' pussy

9. I am just writting after reading the 1st six definitions of redhead. i am from scotland so u could call me an expert on them. there is no such thing as a redhead. redhead is the term used by gingers 2 cover up the fact that they r ginger. gingers r the laughing stock of scotland and gives scotland about 16% of its overall annual lulz. ppl in other countries hoo do not c as many gingers think they r hot and cool just because they r unusual. redheads r an myth the only exception 2 the ginger rule is if a girl is really hot, then she may be called a redhead.

10. A person with red hair ranging from strawberry-blonde to auburn. They can be attractive or unattractive, and do not necessarily have a fiery temper. Many blondes with very little red tint to their hair will claim to be "redheads" when they are actually blondes.

Redhead Unique Bond

One major difference between redheads, blondes and brunetts is that redheads share a unique bond. A bond that unites us no matter age, wealth, gender or sports teams we favor.

When we see another redhead out at a bar or event, we acknowledge one another. At first we may feel competetive, but get us within 5 feet of one another and you are bound to see us engage in a conversation about our hair color. I'm sure you don't see blondes and brunetts uniting over their shade of hair color.

It's a conversation starter and a color of hair that has defined us since our birth. We in many ways understand each other, without words and in some cases by just making eye contact.

Redheads: Artistically Beautiful

By the standards of American beauty, it seems that as a redhead you are either hot or not. There is no in-between standard for us; however, I truly believe that all redheads are artistically beautiful. Whether fat, skinny, tall, short, geeky, young, old, male or female; all redheads are beautiful.

Maybe it's the artist in me that seems to find beauty in some of the oddest places or people, but redheads are striking. I think it’s why redheads are featured so often in tattoos, magazines and painted on canvas. It a shame, that many people do not view redheads in a favorable manor which results in many redheads feeling unattractive.

I know first hand the feeling of being unattractive with pale skin, freckles, and orange hair. I battled with wishing I was a blonde the first 16 years of my life. I dyed my hair blonde for years and even once asked a Clinique cosmetic sales lady if she had a remedy to remove my freckles, I was only 9. As an adult, I have finally learned to truly appreciate and feel comfortable with my natural self.  I have stopped comparing my image to blondes and brunettes. I can finally go out in public without mascara or blush on (that is a feat if you are a redhead).

Ouch! I Feel The Burn

Freckles add character! They are also really good at making me appear to be tan or to hide a small breakout (redhead beauty tip #1). My body is covered in them. It's as if my body is becoming one human size freckle-guess I have a lot of character.

Unfortunate today, I decided to spent 7 hours in the sun and, of course, I didn't have sunblock on. So I'm burnt, naturally sporting a bikini in the buff. Normally when I'm in the sun, I don't tan or burn, I just freckle.

Did you know?
  • That lighter skin pigmentation prevents rickets (a disease that affects the developing skeletal system of children and young animals) in colder latitudes.
  • That lighter skin pigmentation retains heat better than someone with darker skin.
  • An advantage of lighter skin in high latitudes is that the body absorbs more sun which leads to increased production of vitamin D (necessary for calcium absorption and bone growth).

Red And Proud

Give a child a crayon and have them draw me. I bet he or she chooses either the red or orange crayon. Yup, I'm a redhead, strawberry-blonde to be precise, and I wouldn't have it any other way. This blog is dedicated to 3 types of people: the 2% of the world's population that is lucky to have the recessive redhead gene, the want-to-be redheads and the men and women who are obsessed with redheads. So here I begin letting my fiery, crazy, over the top, Irish, uncensored self be ME. Thank God I'm a readhead!
